Journaling My Current Obsession: Bag Charms (Free Printable!)
As a certified trinket girly, it's only to be expected that I am fervently coveting bag charms like a rabid squirrel would acorns. Let's journal about it.
I won’t insult your intelligence by pretending this post has any point other than looking at pretty things. Alas, I must share my recent wishlist finds with you - and a free journaling printable - because I cannot buy any of them. I am budgeting.
(And not within the tax bracket to drop $700 on a bag anyway. It felt cheeky to even include a Coach bag in my wishlist.)
What am I budgeting for, you ask? Well. The mantra I currently have tattooed on the inside of my skull is ‘you can’t buy this, you are saving to move to the beach’. It feels sacrilegious to move to Australia and not at least try living by the sea. With permanent residency shimmering on the horizon, my partner and I are on the cusp of having way more flexibility with work/our general existence . . . and all roads lead to beach.
Anyways, you’re not here to chit-chat about my frantic dash from the city, so let’s get into the purpose of today: lamenting over the fact Anthropologie has a direct line into my brain and is yelling “buy the bag charms, you know you want them”.
a free junk journalling printable
For my fellow junk-journalling girlies, I made my wishlist into a printable activity sheet. Cut and arrange the charms on the bags however you’d like!
*Tip: I’m including an image of the sheet below for reference but the print quality of the .pdf file is far superior. Download the PDF print file here!
Where is my wishlist from?
Beaded coin purses, paris charm set, pearl and multi-charm bag chain & boho gold coin charm - Anthropologie
Large brown leather tote - Sans Beast
Black work bag - River Island
Brown bowler bag & gold bag-shaped charm - Coach
Beaded koala & beaded bag charm - The Local Eclectic
Beaded lobster charm - NEXT
Mixed-metals key charm - Free People
Red bow bag - Sportsgirl
Hibiscus charm - CottonOn
I fear wishlist journal spreads may become a regular activity because that was actually very fun.
Those of you who follow me over on TikTok may know that I managed to sneak some vintage Juicy Couture charms in before my self-imposed spending ban. For my friends that still have their attention span - I’ve forgotten what that was like; paint me a word picture? - the video of that little setup is below.
Unfortunately, with those charms clocking in at a minimum of $50 prior to shipping and taxes, the collection shall have to stall for a while. (They were from this Etsy seller, though, if you want to window shop. Their charm selection is brilliant and they’re quite a bit cheaper than similar stores I found.)
If you’re also in the grips of bag charm addiction and a spending restriction, let me share some of my cute budget finds!
for fellow girlies on a budget, here are some amazon charms (under $15)
I’m an Amazon affiliate btw, so if you purchase anything through my link I might get a small commission. This doesn’t change the price for you :)
Well, my friends, we shall end at the end! I hope you enjoyed this post and were inspired to decorate your bag or your journal. If you do end up using the journal sheet, let me know - I’d love to see what combinations you come up with :)
